Software Development Traineeship
The software development traineeship prepares fresh Axxes talent for a job as a Java or .NET software engineer.
KICKSTART YOUR CAREER IN SOFTWARE CONSULTANCY
In an intensive full-time traineeship, which kicks off in mid-August, our Axxes consultants share their expertise of frequently used and emerging technologies. Besides theory and practical cases, we also teach trainees soft skills, turning these young graduates into fully-fledged Java or .NET consultants who can be deployed at various large Belgian companies and multinationals.
The software development traineeship has 2 tracks:
.NET Track
The .NET-Track focuses on a wide range of Microsoft technologies such as LINQ, C#, Entity framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, TPL, Xamarin and Blazor. We are increasingly shifting attention to the “Cloud First” solution, focusing on Azure and other Cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Java Track
The Java Track focuses on a full stack programme, delving deeper into technologies and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Spring Security, Linux, Docker, Microservices, JPA, MongoDB and AWS. This track also tackles advanced topics such as Kubernetes, big data and modern Java.
THE BENEFITS OF A TRAINEESHIP
While we strongly believe in the potential of young graduates, we have nonetheless detected a gap between the knowledge they acquire during their education and the level of knowledge required to work independently on IT projects in corporate environments. To bridge this gap, Axxes has been investing in a software development track for over 11 years, as a convenient way to give young potentials experience of practical work and preparing our software trainees for project-based secondment work in corporate environments.
After the track, you will work on challenging IT projects at medium-sized and large companies as a software engineer. Take a look at some of the examples of projects that our consultants are currently working on.
ON THE PROGRAMME:
1. Deep-dive into the latest technology trends
Intensive, on-the-job training in the latest technologies in .NET, Java or front end. You can expect Spring, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, Mongo DB, Azure, AWS, Docker, Blazor, React, Vue.js and many, many more!
2. Excellent mentors

3. Kick-ass first project!
After the traineeship, our trainees are ready to tackle their first project with one of our clients.
I can’t think of any other situation in which experts offer a full six-week course to explain their area of expertise in such an accessible way. It is a tremendous kickstart for your career in technical terms, and it’s also a great way to get to know your Axxes colleagues very quickly. Axxes is helping me to grow at an incredible pace.
